Soulshine

A performance by Soulshine is all about passion, soul and power! The energy and joy radiate from the stage, so you simply can’t help but get swept up in the flow of this enthusiastic choir. As well as being lively and spectacular, Soulshine’s colourful musical palette also includes more subdued and intimate pieces. The repertoire is broad, ranging from traditional gospel and world-famous soul hits to well-known pop songs and southern blues. Anyone who discovers Soulshine simply cannot sit still. This choir sparkles and swings! Soulshine is one of the choirs of the Vocal Harmony Academy in Dordrecht and is under the inspiring leadership of conductor and vocal coach Trea Kuijsten, accompanied by the renowned Dordrecht-based pianist and Hammond organist Govert van der Kolm. Singing together brings us closer, and together the voices are more than the sum of their parts. Everyone in Soulshine sings with heart and soul, letting their ‘soul shine’.
