About the artist
Rient Adrijan is based in Rotterdam and works at the intersection of glass, colour, animation and meaning. His practice – ranging from stained glass to animation and light sources – is an interplay of light and layered expression, in which abstraction and figuration intertwine to tell stories. His work is both socially engaged and experimental; he aims to move the viewer and allow the glass to speak as a living, breathing medium.
