Preparations for the 4th edition are in full swing

From 19 to 30 September, you can once again get ready for the storm season. The fourth edition promises festivities at Het Hof and in the Kloostertuin, a Safety Square, (street) theatre, the Hoog & Droog Attic Trail and, of course, the Redders van Dordt Flood Camp. With these preparations, the city is ready for the storm season, which begins on 1 October. The vast majority of the activities are free to attend.

High and dry in Dordrecht’s attics

The festival kicks off on Saturday 19 September with the ‘Hoog & Droog’ Attic Tour: experience what it’s like to take shelter during a flood, without light or electricity. Various forms of art, music and culture will turn prominent attics in Dordrecht into a unique experience. You can buy tickets for the attic tour here.

Preparations for the storm season

Following the launch, there will be a range of activities for residents to help them prepare for the storm season, running until 30 September, featuring theatre, music, workshops, talks, art, sport, and themed food and drink. The whole city will also be buzzing with festival spirit, featuring various art installations.

Dordrecht ready for the floods

On Saturday 26 September, we’ll all be celebrating the successful completion of our preparations for the storm season. On Saturday, various (street) theatre acts will offer a glimpse into life during high water. In the festival centre, on the Hof and in the Kloostertuin, residents can find out about flood resilience at the Veiligheidsplein, whilst young people can prepare themselves at the Redders van Dordt Vloedcamp.
